Assignment Title: Junior Project Support Assistant for Pesticides Control Board (PCB)

The Government of Belize has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Climate Resilient and Sustainable Agriculture Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services.
The consulting services (“the Services”) is for a suitable qualified fulltime JUNIOR PROJECT SUPPORT ASSISTANT FOR PCB as part of the Project Implementation Unit of the CRESAP within the Belize Social Investment Fund. The Junior Project Support Assistant will be responsible to provide project support assistance to the Project Coordinator towards the effective and timely implementation of project-related activities, including supporting project implementation, coordinating with different teams to ensure timely completion, performing administrative tasks such as records management and scheduling meetings, and monitoring project progress to ensure adherence to established timelines.
The GOB has appointed the Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) as the implementing agency for the project and the BSIF is seeking to recruit an individual to fill the position of Junior Project Support Assistant For Pesticides Control Board.
The consultancy is expected to be for Thirty (30) months commencing November 2024. The Junior Project Support Assistant will report directly to the PCB Project Coordinator and will work in collaboration with various focal points for related project activities.

The Belize Social Investment Fund now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”) to indicate them interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services (such as cover letter, Curriculum Vitae etc.).
Minimum Mandatory Requirements *(Required)Qualifications
Associate’s degree, with studies in business, public administration, management, finance, or accounting, or any other field related to this consultancy.
General Experience
Three (3) years of relevant work experience in providing coordination and operational support, as well as experience in facilitating and organizing events in public or private sector. (max 20 points)

Additional Requirements (Desirable)Specific Experience
- Experience in data collection and in writing basic reports in MS Word, compilations in MS Excel and assisting with presentations written in MS Power Point (max 25 points)
- Minimum of two years of experience in an administrative or support role, providing coordination and operational support to ensure the smooth implementation of project related activities. (max 25 points)
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements ensuring project activities align with industry standards and regulations. (max 15 points)
- Experience in developing education materials, and in organizing and implementing events. (max 15 points)
Minimum total points required to be considered for the assignment is 75 points.
The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of
the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” July 2016 (“Procurement
Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Selection of IndividualConsultant method set out
in the Procurement Regulations.
