Contract Signing for Cristo Rey Primary School (11-21-2023)

The Belize Social Investment Fund (BSIF) signed a contract with Miguel Cienfuegos Constructions for the completion of the construction of a two-story concrete building at the Cristo Rey Primary School in the Cayo District. The project, which is being done by the Government of Belize through funding from the Caribbean Development Bank, will see eight classrooms, office spaces, four male and female students’ bathrooms, four male and female teachers’ lavatories, storage spaces and an access ramp for persons with disabilities. The scope of the construction works also includes the construction of an open-concept single-story preschool building. This building will house an open-concept classroom area, kitchenette, teachers’ and students’ bathrooms, storage facilities, and access for persons with disabilities. The construction of site fencing, walkways, and the provision of landscaping is also included.
